Heather is a one-of-a-kind portrait photographer; her work is usually experimental self-portraiture and documentary photography. Female photographers, such as Cindy Sherman, Vivian Maier, and Francesca Woodman have inspired her work. She is interested in how they use photography as a way of expressing themselves and exploring who they are. This exploration of self-perception is something that interests Heather both personally and through her practice.
Before moving to Norfolk, she lived in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, where she refined and further developed her photography.
At present, she is studying photography at Norwich University of the Arts.
